Former ABPI President and ex officio Board Member Luiz Henrique do Amaral represented the Association in Brasília on April 30 during the launch of the 2025 Legislative Agenda of the Joint Parliamentary Front for the Defense of Intellectual Property and the Fight Against Piracy.
With a focus on modernizing IP legislation for the digital age, stepping up the fight against online piracy—especially through Bill No. 3001/2024—and strengthening institutions like the BPTO via Complementary Bill No. 143/2019 and Bill No. 3876/2024, the initiative seeks to drive Brazil’s economic development, innovation, and industrial growth.
“I represented ABPI at the event to reinforce our support for the bills we consider vital,” said Amaral. “I expressed ABPI’s commitment to support the Parliamentary Front and to work collaboratively to ensure legal certainty and improve legislation to foster innovation, R&D, and entrepreneurship.”
